2 reviews for Stainless Steel 11-Hole Burnpot w/ Centered Hole and Gasket – Redesigned for Maximum Airflow
Steven K (verified owner) –
Let me start off by saying that this burnpot is amazing! The quality of this item is very good. After I started using this burnpot, I discovered I was burning much cleaner and had significantly better efficiency of pellet consumption. I am using about 6 percent less pellets since I installed this 11 hole vortex. As as the vortex action goes, it works great. After a 4 hour cook, there was almost no ash in the bottom of the pot. It kicked out nearly everything. The gasket really helps to seal the burnpot to the hopper so that all of the aire is pushed out of the burnpot holes, rather than having air loss under the flange. Congrats to Smoke Daddy for bringing this innovative upgrade to the community.
I would definitely 100 percent recommend this to any pellet grill owner. Buy it and install it, you won’t be disappointed!

This burn pot is an outstanding upgrade. Pellets burn more completely, far more efficiently, and after a 3-hour smoke the bottom of the pot was still bare, with very little ash surrounding it inside the smoker. If you ensure the top flange and the mounting plate are flat, you also do not need the gasket. Mine were still perfectly flat, so I was able to mount it up with no problem.
There is one caveat though, in that this works so well that it really highlights the shortcomings of the stock Traeger controller. The Traeger controller only varies the auger speed (and not very well at that) and keeps the induction fan running at a constant speed. Because of this, the pellets burn away much faster in this pot than in the stock Traeger pot, causing the flame to go out from lack of fuel before the stock controller can compensate for the temperature drop. Needless to say, my next purchase will be the Smoke Daddy PID controller.
