Motor is massive compared to the most of worn out auger motor from my “name your brand here” store bought pellet grill. Way quieter and seems to have more torque as the pellets don’t seem to jam or bind in the auger as bad.

A year ago I found a used pellet grill at a scrap metal yard, an Oklahoma Joe’s Rider 600. It had been damaged by an auger burn back that had melted the plastic bushing and burned up the auger motor and controller. The rest of the grill was as good as new so I took it home. I replaced the damaged controller with a Pellet Pro PID one and I replaced the auger with this high torque 2RPM model and a new bushing. This thing has worked great for many cooks. Some people say that the Pit Boss pellets don’t work well in these grills. That’s probably true with the stock motor but with this one it has enough power that it can chop right through any pellets that are excessively long as I’ve seen with this brand. Very robust, quiet and works great.

I purchased the 2 RPM Heavy Duty Auger Motor replace the existing stock motor on my Traeger BBQ075 “Texas Elite” smoker. This motor is about double in size compared to the stock motor. Installation was very straightforward. I also purchased the nylon Auger Bushing, and the Stabilizing Bracket kit and installed them all at the same time. The bracket works great with the motor to keep it firmly in place.
