We recommend using a disposable aluminum pan on the bottom shelf to catch any grease or drippings. This will prevent an abundance of grease falling onto the drip pan which may result in a grease fire.

PID Description Overview

Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control is the most common control algorithm used in industry and has been universally accepted in industrial control. The popularity of PID controllers can be attributed partly to their robust performance in a wide range of operating conditions and partly to their functional simplicity, which allows engineers to operate them in a simple, straightforward manner.

As the name suggests, PID algorithm consists of three basic coefficients; proportional, integral and derivative which are varied to get optimal response. Closed loop systems, the theory of classical PID and the effects of tuning a closed loop control system are discussed in this paper.

We offer a 30-Day Money Back Guarantee after the received date. If you are not satisfied with the product within the 30-Day period, we will arrange the product to be shipped to our location in addition to a full refund. After this 30-Day period, you (the customer) are responsible for return shipping.
The customer is responsible for shipping costs to send failed components back to Smoke Daddy Inc. SDI will be responsible for shipping costs for replacements to the customer.
Once the faulty component has been inspected by SDI, SDI will ship out the replacement component within 1-2 business days of receiving. If the component is not found faulty, then the problem must be determined between SDI and the Customer.

Important Updates

We take pride in delivering the best smoking experience possible, and in working closely with our amazing customers, we’ve identified a sooting issue affecting some of our smokers. Rest assured, we’ve been hard at work to resolve this!

Here’s what we’ve done:
1) Increased airflow by adding 25% more CFM to the burnpot with updated Duty Cycle parameters.

2) Improved efficiency with 5 additional holes in the vortex-style burnpot.

3) Increased the Fan Motor Duty Cycle to turn on 100% every 15 minutes for 15 seconds to clean any excess ash out of the burn pot to facilitate a clean and efficient burn.

After extensive testing using multiple brands, qualities, and flavors of pellets, multiple variations on the duty cycles, and multiple different variations of burnpot, we believe we have found a viable solution. If you’ve experienced sooting issues, we want to make it right!

    I absolutely love my 2300. I use it mostly for making sausage and snack sticks. the new sportsman programs was a huge improvement, for sausage making. I have also done all night brisket cooks, with awesome results. I also can’t say enough about their service, always available to provide help, no matter the issue.

    I just purchased this grill last week and wow! I have a catering business and this grill is exactly what I’ve needed. The quality is top tier, and it runs so efficiently. I love that its big enough to fit a full-size catering pan. So far, I’ve done pulled pork, chicken and brisket on it and they turned out amazing. It burns pellets more efficiently and keeps a steady temperature. The three temp gauges on the door make it easy to monitor meats and shuffle the cook accordingly. I highly recommend this grill and will be purchasing more from smoke daddy in the future.

    Just wanted to drop a line since receiving the new Pellet Pro 2300. I smoke a lot of meat and usually have the smoker going at least 2 times a week. I have to say I am really impressed with the temp consistency and the flavor you are able to achieve with adding the cold smoker. Since getting this I have smoked ribs twice, burnt ends, brisket, chicken twice and just did the ultimate test this last weekend for my family a 20 pound turkey. Everything placed on this comes out perfect with great flavor and juicy. This coming from someone that currently owns 4 different smokers this one is by far the best one hands down!

    These are made with quality in mind. It’s not the thin metal you get on most smokers, or any product, manufactured overseas. Assembly is very easy. A single person can
    assemble it in under an hour. I did have one bolt break during assembly and one threaded insert that came loose, on control panel mount, so the screw can’t be tightened. I’ve used it twice now and everything that comes out of it is amazing. Spend the extra money and get the Heavy D stick burner ITS WORTH EVERY PENNY!
    The only issue I have is the mount for the PID Controller. Compared to the rest of the unit this mount is a bit flimsy. I worry that it’s going to break off when I press buttons to set or change temp.

    I’ve had this smoker a month now and wow! Unlike most cabinet smokers with the heat all over the place on the top and bottom, this one makes the entire thing the same temp with the convection fan. It’s amazing, I did 8 lbs of candy bacon and smoked cream cheese for a work function and they came out amazing. I also did two pork shoulder overnight with no issues! No more meat cooking too fast on the edges , I haven’t tried the stick burner attachment yet but I’m sure it works awesome too! This is the difference when you start going to the next tier of smoker! You won’t be disappointed!

    Also the customer service is amazing, the latch for the bottom door came broken off from shipping and Dallas overnighted a replacement piece even though the smoker was still usable without it.

    We bought the 2300 a few months ago and we have had no other smoker like it. If it is off just 3 or 4 degrees I am thinking something is wrong because it just holds temp so good. With guidance from the Smoke Daddy team this is the best smoker we have ever had. Cost a little more but I was tired of getting those name brand smokers for cheaper and they wouldn’t hold temp (10-15 degrees high or low) or only lasted 2 or 3 years. I’m a Smoke Daddy diehard forever.
