I recently inherited an old Traeger smoker from my father who recently passed. He absolutely loved that smoker and making wonderful food. Unfortunately the electronics we're having issues and needed... read more to be replaced. I received the PID pellet pro and installed it and everything worked fantastic. After a few months I had an issue with the unit blowing fuses and reached out to customer support and emailed with Dan Seppala. Without hesitation he sent me out the replacement parts I needed to get this smoker back up and running. This kind of customer service and backing of their product goes a long way in my book and it had to find nowadays. I will recommend and use their products with high honors. Again SmokeDaddy quickly acknowledged the problem and told me how to fix it. I believe this unit along with some fire bricks has helped to even out the temperature of my grill.

My... read more first smoke was jerky, which was the reason I purchased the smoker. The combination of the circulation fan, sportsman controller low temps and massive cook chamber size allowed me to make some of the best jerky I have made to date. I made about 18 lbs. of pork and turkey jerky. There was plenty of smoke and space! Temps were even side to side and top to bottom.
