Was having temp issues with my 7 year old treager pro22. It has been a great grill, I have only replaced the burner pot about 2 year ago. it was... read more suggested to replace the temp prob. The prob did help it get better temps, but the swing was 50+ degrees. Did some hunting and found smoke daddy. Called and talked with a gentleman and he seems very genuine, so I Bought the PID controller and a spare burner pot. The install was very striaght forward for the pid controller. First fire up and WOW! This is truely a PID controller not a timed despenser. This grill is way better than it has ever been. Gets to temp super fast and holds with in +/- 5 degrees. The smell of the pellets burning/smoking is so much better. It also uses way less pellets and can reach 500 degrees. PID controller is worth every penny!!!!! The burn pot is of better quaility as well. The way the holes are shaped and placed helps with cleaner burned pellets and less ash build up in bottom of pot. I will be buying all my future replacement parts from smoke daddy. Keep up the good work guys!

I recently inherited an old Traeger smoker from my father who recently passed. He absolutely loved that smoker and making wonderful food. Smoke Daddy’s attention to detail in the design is great! I’m very impressed by how well it holds temps steady. I’ve also attached the Smoke Daddy Big Kahuna cold smoke generator to it for cold smoking cheese and fish. Both products have worked well for me so far. The combination of the circulation fan, sportsman controller low temps and massive cook chamber size allowed me to make some of the best jerky I have made to date. I made about 18 lbs. of pork and turkey jerky. There was plenty of smoke and space! Temps were even side to side and top to bottom. After installation, I noticed that a part had been damaged most likely during shipping, but since I didn’t notice until later, I could know for sure. I sent an email and a replacement came quicker than I thought possible. I didn’t read any reviews until I went to post mine and I know how they have 5 stars. GREAT company to deal with.

Purchased an pellet pro assembly to use in a custom hybrid offset smoker. It attached well onto an old country brazos and able to maintain temperature using both wood splits... read more and pellet. Works extremely well and produce great smoke. This is the best set up, able to get offset flavors with the convenience of a pellet PID controller!

Things break, things don't work out as planned in life but it's how we deal with these challenging times that defines our character. That might seem a bit over board... read more as we are just talking about a smoker but Dennis and the family/team there at Smoke Daddy always rise to the occasion. I've had my vertical for nearly 3 years (30-40+ hours a week is common). I've had to call them twice over that time and every time I screwed something up they where there at the other end of the phone walking me through it. Yes, even 3 years later when the unit is out of warranty and well worn. This commitment to excellence is hard to find but when you do you hold on to it. Buy with confidence and know that you have an ally when you do.
