Ordered through Amazon and the unit came with a piece missing. SmokeDaddy quickly replaced that with no question. Then afer using it I discovered I was sent the wrong... read more model - not the one I ordered for a Pit Boss Pellet Grill. Again SmokeDaddy quickly acknowledged the problem and told me how to fix it. I believe this unit along with some fire bricks has helped to even out the temperature of my grill.

I have their vertical pellet smoker with the Heavy D and fan accessories and i just love this smoker. The thought of potentially ruining my smoker was devistating to me but I got them on the phone and in short order they got me what i needed at no charge. It is good to know there are good people building great products right here in the USA. ps; If you haven't cleaned the colleted grease off the bottom for a while be careful when using the HIGH setting. Can’t wait to smoke homemade deer summer sausage with the sportsman’s algorithm… the controller works amazing! Up to temp and holds the temp the whole time. I recently inherited an old Traeger smoker from my father who recently passed. He absolutely loved that smoker and making wonderful food. Unfortunately the electronics we're having issues and needed... read more to be replaced. I received the PID pellet pro and installed it and everything worked fantastic. After a few months I had an issue with the unit blowing fuses and reached out to customer support and emailed with Dan Seppala. Without hesitation he sent me out the replacement parts I needed to get this smoker back up and running. This kind of customer service and backing of their product goes a long way in my book and it had to find nowadays. I will recommend and use their products with high honors. My... read more first smoke was jerky, which was the reason I purchased the smoker. The combination of the circulation fan, sportsman controller low temps and massive cook chamber size allowed me to make some of the best jerky I have made to date. I made about 18 lbs. of pork and turkey jerky. There was plenty of smoke and space! Temps were even side to side and top to bottom.
